## Be willing to accept criticism
This class challenges many students to step outside their comfort zones. Students who believe that instructors should only praise publicly and criticize privately **should not** enroll in this course. Additionally, this course may not be suitable for those who feel embarrassed by receiving critiques in front of their peers every week, as feedback may sometimes be abrupt and direct. This course is designed to replicate the pace, uncertainty, and pressures of a startup environment. In turn, instructors expect students to question them, challenge their viewpoints if they disagree, and engage in genuine dialogue with the teaching team.
## Be willing to work hard
Teams have reported dedicating up to 20 hours of work each week. The goal is to engage in activities outside the classroom. If students cannot commit the time necessary to interact with customers, this class may not be suitable for them. Teams are expected to [[get out of the building]] and complete at least 10 in-person or video interviews each week, focusing on the subject for that particular week.
## Between class activities
Besides conducting interviews, [[EITT teams]] are expected to report their progress in their [[EITT PClass]] every two weeks in a PowerPoint presentation. Many course modules propose additional individual activities to be conducted by the students between classes. A frequent requirement will be to watch specific videos of the course [[Udacity - How to Build a Startup]] before the class.
