Teams must submit a project proposal that needs to be approved by the instructors. Team projects should be based on a [[technology]], preferably a [[deep technology]], resulting in a [[product]] or any type of [[service]]. While students' first instinct might be to create a web-based startup, it is recommended that they consider a subject in which they are domain experts. In all cases, students should choose a technology for which they have passion, enthusiasm, and some expertise. Teams that select a [[digital product]], like a web or mobile-based product, will need to build the site or app for the class.
