This course is partially based on the [[Lean Launchpad (LLP) curriculum]]. Its use at Instituto Superior Técnico dates back to the winter semester of 2013-2014 when it was initially offered as an optional track for the course “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology Transfer” of the “Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering” program.  That year, each of the 5 teams created a website, used Google AdWords and Google Analytics to monitor its traffic, developed prototypes of their products, and produced a marketing video. 381 customer interviews were conducted and transcribed and 67 business model hypotheses were tested. Here are some of the messages they left for their future colleagues: “This course prepares us for the real world.” “Hang on! Yes it’s a lot of work, and you're going be slaughtered every week, but you are going to have a business plan that you can be proud of because you worked for it” “It’s great for your personal development, but keep in mind you will give up a lot of your time. You wake up every day thinking about LLP” In the winter semester of 2014-2015, the pilot program was extended to the courses on Technology-Based Entrepreneurship (Master in Information Systems and Computer Engineering-Alameda) and Entrepreneurship (Master in Electronics Engineering, Master in Industrial Engineering and Management, Master in Information Systems and Computer Engineering-Taguspark, Master in Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering).
