## Welcome
Welcome to the 2025-26 edition of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology Transfer (EITT) course.
Prof. Luis Caldas de Oliveira (LCO) will host the weekly Ignite classes ([[IClass]]). He will be joined by Prof. Bruno Martins (BM) and Prof. Luis Correia (LC) in managing the Peer Review classes ([[PClass]]). This year, we will also have the support of Ana Reis (AR) as a Teaching Assistant.
Information about this course edition is available both on the [course page in the Fenix system](https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/EITT3610/2025-2026/2-semestre) and on Prof. Luis Caldas de Oliveira's notes on [learnius](https://learnius.com/eitt/Entrepreneurship%2C+Innovation+and+Technology+Transfer+(EITT))
## Initial Statement
This course is not about entrepreneurship theory or examining business cases and successful entrepreneurs. Instead, it focuses on the next generation of entrepreneurs: the students. The goal is to enable students to act as entrepreneurs and experience the challenges of identifying and executing a new business opportunity based on technology. Students will utilize the [[Business Model Canvas (BMC)]] to design their business models, use [[agile development]] in their projects, apply the [[customer development]] methodology to validate their hypotheses, and employ [[artificial intelligence (AI)]] tools to enhance efficiency.
## Teamwork
Students will participate in collaborative teamwork, forming teams of six students, to develop a sustainable business model for a technology of their choice, aimed at addressing a real-world problem. Learning to work effectively in teams is important, as it reflects the collaborative nature of the modern workplace and encourages diverse perspectives, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Through teamwork, students will improve their communication and interpersonal abilities, learn to manage group dynamics, and utilize each member's strengths to achieve common goals.
To achieve these objectives, **all team members must be enrolled in the same shift**.
## Classes
The course consists of 2 weekly classes over 14 weeks: one Ignite class ([[IClass]]), lasting 110 minutes, where fundamental concepts are presented and discussed (sometimes with guests); and one Peer Review class ([[PClass]]), lasting 80 minutes, where teams present and discuss the progress of their projects with the other teams in the same shift. During the third academic period (from February to April), Ignite classes take place on Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in room IA. **In the fourth period (from April to June), they are held on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the same room**. There are five Peer Review class shifts scheduled between Thursday and Friday. Each shift accommodates a maximum of six teams, and each team must remain in its designated shift for the duration of the course.
