Spoken language communication is the process of exchanging information with the [[human voice]], using spoken words and [[sound|sounds]].
It involves the use of language, voice, tone, pitch, volume, and other nonverbal cues to convey meaning and establish effective communication between individuals or groups.
As with other communication processes, it involves the process of encoding information into the [[speech signal]] conducted by the speaker and the process of decoding, performed by the listener.
We call [[speech production]] the encoding process and [[speech perception]] the decoding process.
